My name is Tamara Moon-Graves. I’m a writer and content creator living in North Alabama. I’ve been blogging and freelance writing for a decade and in the past enjoyed features on RoleReboot.com, BlogHer.com, and ThriveGlobal.com.
My motto is “beauty, body, and spirit positivity” because I believe all three of these things play an important role in forming us into complete, whole individuals. I believe in the power of appreciating beauty in all its forms. I believe in the validity of loving all bodies and recognizing that all bodies are good bodies. And I advocate that we can not be good for our loved ones and the world around us, if we are not good to our spirits first.
My work aims to blend these three passions into a unified front that I present to my community and the world. My hope is to make my readers feel better, stronger, wiser, and more engaged in their own environments and their own healing.
You will notice I write a great deal about death and bereavement. Between February 2016 and February 2017 I lost three family members very suddenly. I’m in the process of writing a book about grief and how multiple deaths in the same family affects people.
When I’m not writing, I’m raising one amazing pre-teen, taking care of three special needs pets (and one very patient pet that is not special needs), and building a future with my partner of nearly 12 years.
